Our Refillable Deodorant Sticks have been yeaaaars in the making and we’re so stoked they're finally here! So many of you have been requesting extra protection for your beloved Woohoo Natural Deodorant and Anti-Chafe Sticks, and we’ve worked hard to develop these clever, planet-conscious cases to make the application process easy-peasy. We know you won’t be disappointed.

Plus, we’re pretty sure the design we’ve come up with is a world-first, or at the very least an Australian first! You can now do your natural deodorant your way – either use it with the case or without. It’s totally up to you.

You’re right… I do love it! But why are they so big?

As we mentioned, we wanted to give the Woohoo-ers out there the ultimate flexibility when using our natural deodorant sticks. We wanted you to be able to choose to use them either as a stand-alone cardboard stick, or to pop it into a protective case.

Because of this, the case needs to be about twice the height of the cardboard tube, since the winding mechanism needs room to push the deodorant stick inside all the way to the top.

There are some other similar products out there on the market, but they either have little plastic mechanisms in their refill tubes to allow the winder to go up through the middle of the deodorant, or they don’t give you the flexibility of using their refills on their own without the case.

So we have compromised a compact size in order to give you the ultimate in flexibility and to keep our deodorant products plastic-free!

Why did it take so long to make these?

We have been working on these cases for 4 years now, so you can imagine our happiness now that we finally get to share them with you!

Originally we’d planned to make them from plastic that’d been recovered from the ocean. We were actually pretty close to finalising a really cool design but it just didn't tick all the boxes.

We wanted the design to use only a single type of plastic (polypropylene) which would allow it to be 100% recyclable at the end of its life. However, the case wasn't strong enough and our designers needed to introduce other plastic types. This meant that it would be much harder to recycle when the time came. 

We were left with the gut feeling that we weren’t doing the right thing for the environment. So we shelved the project.

However, 2 years later when we discovered a manufacturer who was making something similar to what we wanted but on a smaller scale from aluminium, we got very excited and contacted them right away!

It took us a few test designs to get it right, but – 4 years later – they’re finally here.

Please note that our Refillable Deodorant Cases are made from aluminium which is a soft metal, so some scratches and marks are normal and not regarded as faults.
