It’s no secret that our aluminium moisturiser tubes are gosh darn awesome.
We chose to package our beloved face creams in them to minimise the amount of plastic we contribute to the world.
(Although side note: we still use plastic lids because each cream comes with a tamper-evident seal, and the lids are designed to puncture that seal when you first open the product.)
However, while eco-friendly and protective, aluminium tubes can sometimes be a little cheeky.
If you squeeze the tube too much, it might split, causing the cream to ooze out from the sides - definitely not what we want!
It can also get scrunched up, making it difficult to get the remaining product out.
Yes, aluminium tubes are much better for the planet with their full recyclability, and they’re lighter to ship meaning less CO2 emissions.
But, we knew we could do more to improve their functionality.
So, we put on our thinking caps, rolled up our sleeves, and brainstormed.

How to Use Your Tube Key
- Start by gently squeezing from the end of the tube to push some of the product down.
- Slide the key along the top of the tube, making sure the top of the tube is sitting in between the keys’ teeth.
- Gently turn the key to dispense the product.
Bonus tip: Don’t squeeze your tube from the middle or top. Always squeeze from the ‘rolled’ end.
